Discussion with Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale, Head of the Foreign Policy Department for the BJP Party of India
The Harvard Club of Munich is delighted to invite its members to another thought-provoking event, this time featuring a discussion with Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), India’s governing political party, and a close advisor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale is a remarkable figure with a diverse background spanning science, business, and politics. Before entering the political arena, he was a trained molecular biologist who began his career in research and development, eventually transitioning into management roles within the pharmaceutical industry. Today, he leads the BJP’s foreign policy efforts and plays a key role in shaping India’s global relations.
We are particularly honored to host Dr. Chauthaiwale during his time in Munich for the prestigious Munich Security Conference (MSC). His unique perspective, shaped by his scientific background, business experience, and leadership in international relations, promises an engaging and insightful discussion.
Dr. Chauthaiwale will discuss India’s evolving role on the global stage, its foreign policy priorities, and the intersection of science, business, and politics in his career journey. His talk will be followed by a Q&A session and a networking opportunity over coffee and pastries.
